Hi everyone,
In case you don't know it yet the Great Lakes Newf club has posted all the info for the Nationals on their website. www.glnewfclub.com I have never attended a national before, but I was shocked at the price of the rooms. They start at $129.80 and go up from there. If you go to the Inn's webpage the rooms start at Sun-Thur $99 and Fri-Sat $139. Anyway I called all the other hotels listed on the Frankenmuth webpage and I found only one that will accept dogs. The Drury Inn. I can get a 2 room suite for $88.99 per night. It also includes free contential breakfast. It is 1/2 mile from the Barvarian Inn. The only drawback is you cannot leave the dog unattended in the rooms. For those that have been to a National's before is it worth staying at the hosting lodge? Will we miss mingling with other Newfie people at the lodge? Let me know. I can pay $129.80 per night, but then $88.99 sounds so much better. I want our first nationals to be real exciting and I would hate to miss on a lot of fun activites to save $41 per night.
