Pregnancy signs

I know that ultrasound can be performed around 30 days - but just wondered if you usually notice any strange pregnancy signs with your Newfs ? ones that maybe other breeds do not notice ?
Someone mentioned that they find their bitches coat goes greasy!

My coats don't get greasy, but my girls do seem to put on more coat when pregnant, they seem to be more affectionate, some will have a little morning sickness around 3 weeks post breeding and after 3 weeks their vulva will still be soft and larger then normal.

I do ultrasounds at 4 weeks...I like to see heart beats at that stage...:)

I usually notice a small bit of clearish mucous discharge from 4 weeks of breeding on..and it's been pretty reliable as a sign of pregnancy. Often you will find it in the hair around the vulva. Not a lot, but if you are checking often, you will almost always see it. I've also had one that had clearcut morning sickness.

I normally see some morning sickness at 3-4 weeks and swelling of the vulva. Some of mine go off their food for a few days right around 3-4 weeks to. An ultrasound can be done around 4 weeks and if you have a good ear and a good stethoscope you can also pick up heartbeats at about 5-6 weeks.
