8 cups is a lot to feed. The most we ever fed Thor was 6 cups.

Ok will relook the food amount. I think she kind of leaves about a cup in her bowl each time so 8 might be over stated. She is at a good weight according to the vet and the "rib test". This morning I took her out for 20 minutes (no poop) and then the wife did the same 30 minutes later and she POOPED OUTSIDE!!!!! No accident in the kennel while wife was at clas today. Snoopy happy dance!!

She sounds like our Echo who was a re-home. We finally decided she had learned to poop in the crate, so we did away with the crate, penned her in the kitchen, and after that we followed the strict schedule and she was good for the rest of her life. Never needed the crate again either.
