Erika, you have such amazing dogs! They each seem so special in their own way! Are Pyrs normally taller than Newfs? I've never seen one in person and don't have a traps on their size except from your pictures. Yours are all such beauties!
Oh thank you, Greta is a very mystical Pyr, shes unique like our Piggyluv was, while she smiles she is reading your mind and body language, she is forever working and doing her Pyr jobs.
Pyr like newfs come in a variety of sizes, Greta is an XL girl very streamlined and full chested and wavy, shes the french type of Pyr ( original look), Gandolph is xxl , he is soooo full coated and has a huge head and is very tall, he is all chest and muscle, Pyr owners and breeders have told me he is the American kind of Pyr, bred for head size and wide chest and body.He must come from good stock, the folks who surrendered him paid $1900 for him kept him for a month and turned him over to rescue( ?????) they got a new house and he was too much to take with them.what were they thinking when they bought him????, he had Giardia and Coccidious thats why they didnt want him:grrr::grrr:, he was a mean green pooping machine :blush:, anyhow, my gang are all rescues, arent I lucky to have them?
