Pet Pointe Question

Hi All

(Sorry if you looked at this earlier....I corrected it to say "Pet Pointe" instead of Pet Food Direct)

I am looking at ordering the bulk Canidae from Pet Pointe.
I would be purchasing 2 of the Bulk Specials for 6 35 pound bags.
When I fill in the order, it doesnt fill in a shipping amount and says additional charges may apply.
Has anyone ever gotten this, and if so, what is a ballpark shipping charge.
I am in MO, but a shipping charge from any state would at least give me some idea.

I don't recommend ordering 2 bulk specials. Instead call them and place the order by phone. I bought about 12-13 bags and although the cost per bag is higher there was no shipping cost. The bulk special has high shipping costs. If you buy I think 500 pounds there is no shipping cost so your over all cost goes down.

Thanks to all who answered. I got several PM's, as well as the post from Charity.
Just as an FYI-I spoke to Pet Pointe today and the bulk shipping rate IS 500 pounds. That would be 15 bags. The price per bag for ALS would be $31.99 and for Grain Free ALS would be $39 and there are no shipping charges. Pet Pointe said that it doesnt all have to be the same food type, can be mixed and matched, but the total shipment has to be 500 pounds or over.

When I bought mine it was when the bags were still 40 pounds...that's why I didn't have to buy as many.

I wish it was still 40# bags!!! I dont understand why they dont just raise the price, since that is what they are really doing when they make the bags smaller and keep the price the same. A year or so ago, a rep for one of the foods was at a petstore, and I asked why they made the bags smaller, and her answer was to make them easier for their customers to carry!!!! Give me a break
