Very interesting read thanks for sharing this ... my current food (Precise Holistic Large/Giant Breed Puppy) seems to fit the bill, which makes me feel better. So the important figures seem to be calorie density, calcium and calciumhosphorus ratio.The "no puppy food" thing seems (to me anyhow) to be not quite so black and white...I found this thread to have some very fascinating information, specifically the information provided by Ginny and Sierra Newfs: http://www.newf.net/Forums/showthread.php?t=106094
Reality is I guess we're all looking for the safe feeding formula because the "right" answer may not be a specific brand especially since it may not be available in some regions when it comes to commercial kibble.
I think the debate will go on ... I know we're all trying our best to do what's best for the breed and to that there are no perfect answers just the guidelines and validation of our experiences when it comes to feeding, with that I don't think we can go wrong.
