I thought the pic was a hoot! She belongs to one of my puppy people who owns a farm. This sweetie was born a couple nights ago in bitter cold temps. She couldn't get warm or dry in the barn so she was brought into the garage where she quickly claimed the dog bed. Bruno, the Newf the puppy person got from me, took to the calf right away and decided she needed a furry babysitter:kgo_027:
aww there were a couple times over the years that a calf was born in the winter here and my BIL would bring him/her into the basement to get them warmed up. So glad that her people were right there making sure that baby survived the cold.
What amazes me is that the calf seems perfectly content with all these big carnivores so close. You'd think her instinct to run would kick in. Maybe she's just too young, but I think it's an obvious testament to the gentle calmness that a Newf exudes.
