So, my stalking paid off with a playdate! :icon_bb: This is my (pathetic) attempt at video of the first meeting of Obie & Jake.
The owner of a cool little pet store near my house tipped me off that a Newf was coming in for grooming, so I left a note with an invitation to meet up. Sunday, we went to Jake's house for a visit and they hit it off right away. Jake's owners have some regrets about their choice of a breeder. Jake is not exactly a stellar example of the breed, plus he has an orthopedic issue with his pasterns so they're keeping him very lean. Still, he's a really sweet, energetic three year old and we made plans to get he and Obie together regularly. I also invited Suzanne to come here to learn more as they are considering getting another newf at some point. Add this to the "cousins" we found recently and another Newf owner Suzanne knows and we'll soon have the making of a "New Orleans GTG!"
