The dog is not a newf, but the person is one of our own newf members. Charisse last her husband 1/2/04 and I have offered to foster and place a little minaiture poodle mix for her to take that burden off her shoulders. We need to get him from Charlottesville Va up and over to NJ. Basically up 81. I'm shooting for this weekend as the weather will be good. Does anyone have any connections in this area who might be willing to transport a happy little guy who Charisse says has better manners than her newfs and is up to date with everything, neutered, etc. He's never been in a shelter. He is wonderful with babies and every age up to adults. He loves other dogs and is great with cats. He's five years old and a true southern gentleman with a heart of gold. His first owner died but before he passed, Charisse promised to find his beloved Ru-Paul a great home. I'm picking up that promise for Charisse. Just got to get him here.
Anyone with any ideas or connectiosn please email me. It's only six hours, so it should be doable, but there are long stretches between civilizations that makes it hard to find transport.
