non -newf: 40 mini-poms

I recently got this email:

If anyone is interested in adopting mini-pomeranians, there is a situation that has approximately 40 (mostly female) of these dogs that need to be placed in homes. The lady that owned them is terminally ill and can no longer care for them. They have been well cared for and have vaccinations, have been on heartworm preventative and been fed Science Diet. They will be spayed/neutered prior to being placed in homes.

Yikes, she had 40 dogs?? Holy moly...

I think the "mini" part is the trendy way to say it now. Everyone wants smaller and smaller toy dogs...who are already small to begin with! Kind of like the teacup poodles, yorkies, chihuahuas... At my work we just got a new daycare pup-- they told us she's a Mini Shih Tzu! Paris Hilton calls her dog a Teacup Chihuahua....

teacup, gezz they damage so easy.. these mirco mini dogs are a fad here also, there so small and delicate, one women at the park only puts her dog down to do his business then picks him right up and holds him while the poor thing looks at all the other dogs playing while she chats to us owners of dog size dogs (and kelvinn extra large godzilla dog hehe). u gotta wonder sometimes.. what's the point? maybe a hamster would be better for some folks hehe
