Is the North Central Newfoundland Club putting on Newfiepalooza this year? I'm hoping to take another trip to Chicago in March and stay at my favorite dog friendly hotel!

Thanks Rhonda. That was one of the most fun Newfie events I've ever been to. Guess we'll have to find another reason to head to Chicago!

I remember someone posted pics of this beautiful hotel they stayed at during the last Newfiepalooza. It was pretty luxurious yet pet-friendly. I remember a pic posted of a Newf cooling himself on the nice cream colored tile in the bathroom. I've forgotten, but at the time I checked the name of it online and we had one here in Philly. Does anyone remember the name of it?

Yes! It was the Palomar Hotel! All Kimpton Hotels are not only pet-friendly, but pet-welcoming! I'm so excited that they just bought The Grand Hotel here in the Twin Cities and it's now pet friendly. Here are some of the pics, for those that are interested.

I highly, highly recommend these hotels!

I'm sure River and Mal won't both fit in the bathroom now!
Hope things do better next year Rhonda so we could meet up with our out of area friends.

The greatest newfie fun social event of the year and will be missed by many. Always a good time. Can't wait until next year.

Thank you Jackie...I now have the name which I immediately looked up for Philly. Theirs is pet-friendly too. They have no weight restrictions and no extra charge. They even have pet sitters and pet massagers on duty!

They are great hotels. They give you a pet welcoming bag when you first come in. Ours had a water bowl, treats, poop bags, etc. You can request doggie beds, bowls, etc. Their "pet floors" don't smell like animals, everyone in the hotel was welcoming, and they went up and checked on River & Mal for us while we went to the bar! Oh! And and when you book your reservation you give them your pets' names so they call them by their names when you come in AND their names are written on the "welcome" chalk board! Kimpton also has a great rewards program where you can earn free nights, get special discounts (free mini bar item and free wi-fi). They are AWESOME.

They are AWESOME.
Just looking at their website quickly, I was surprised to see they have a whole area on their site devoted to their support of LGBT customers and employees including a link to their pet services. If I ever travel with Snuffles or other pet to one of their locations, it is a definite consideration of a place to stay.
