Bristrol Palin bought her boyfriend a Newf puppy on Bristol Palin Lifes a trip. She said she had it flown in from the states, and he had always wanted a newf puppy.

Well, crap.

I really have a love/hate relationship with seeing Newfs in the press and on tv, because I'm afraid they'll end up the way of the lab-the most popular breed, or just more popular. I see so many poorly bred labs that have so many issues, and it's because people just want to capitalize on that popularity. I hope he has a good life ( the Newf. I guess the bf too, since the Newf is stuck with him)

Yikes. There's someone in my husbands old neighborhood that just got a Newf puppy as a birthday present...And I'm really hoping they know what newfies, especially newf babies need to develop properly.
