Newf Hair is EVERYWHERE!

OK first off this isn't exactly a newf photo....

My wife called downstairs to complain that the snake (A harmless NJ garter) had returned and was now on the patio. When I asked what she would like me to do about it, she replied "Shoot it". My wife hates guns, and lothes the idea of killing any living thing (except lobsters for some reason), so you can understand the fondness she felt for our latest country visitor!

Having no desire to kill the snake myself (they really are harmless), and being a hopeless observer of nature, I instead got the camera.

I got within a few inches of the beast, and took some great shots of the python which threatened to eat our children (in my wife's eyes at least). I tried in vain repeatedly to get a picture with its tongue out, but alas I was unsucessful.

After taking probably 30-40 photos, I picked up the snake by the tail (Don't try this at home unless you KNOW what sort of snake you're dealing with!), and re-homed him deep in the woods.

I retired to the office to download my digital bounty, where I discovered to my utter dismay, that the snake looked quite different up close than he did from a few feet away and with my failing eyes.

He's covered in Newfie hair!!

I'll have to add THAT one to the NEwf-FAQ! Is there any place this stuff doesn't get?

Boy, oh boy that was hyst(hair)ical! I too laughed out loud and read it to my family! What a picture! We are "swimming" in newf hair here! We have been vaccuuming twice a day! Every time someone sits down by Angel, we get a brush out and comb out MORE. We had to roller-stickey the grandkids before they left here after a short visit this afternoon!
