New Toys

For me - and sort of for the furkids...
Hubby wanted a food dehydrator to make jerky. I thought we could just use the oven, but then thought it wouldn't hurt to try it. And that I could probably make treats for the pups. (Yes, that's the REAL reason I didn't mind buying another gadget to take up space around here!) I've been thinking about getting myself a Kitchen Aid mixer; my old stand mixer has less power that the new hand mixers now. Saw a good sale and decided to reward myself. Any normal woman would want jewlery or furs, right? Not me, I want something to make my dogs happy. Yesterday I made cookies and that sucker rocks! So now, I need recipes, puppy recipes, so I can use my new toys.
I've got a couple pounds of frozen beef liver in my freezer now, so that would be a good place for me to start...

Hope you enjoy your new toys.

Should have contacted me before purchasing the kithen aid mixer. They are made here and there is an outlet store here in town where they sell for about $150--last time I was in.

Jeannie are u kidding ? $150 ??? Yikes.. i just went to a new kitchen supply place here in Oslo.. wanted to get the Kitchen Aid Blender, they had the small model for 2800 Kroner that's $470.76! I also just for the heck of it looked at the Kitchen Aid Mixer.. plain white model.. sit down.. 6500 kroner.. $1000 !!!! Good thing i have a Kitchen Aid Mixer, I paid $230 for a 220 Volt in the USA.. So.. what does the blender cost over your way ?

Jeannie,

$150 No way...I am taking that off the wedding registry and buying one when we bring the pups down
I am so excited...we rationalized the purchase of an awesome food processor to aid in our raw feeding for the dogs...of course
I have many uses for it too but it's much easier to buy things when it's "for the dogs" haha.

Ok I'll go to the store and get up to date prices. But remember I have many customers who get an additional discount because they are employees. I can usually get them to get items for me for a free groom. Of course I'd charge the groom $24 to you but the employee discount will be more than that. I'll post it ASAP.

Usually right after Christmas they get lots of refurbished or overstock ones in. Then they are the cheapest.

I can get the attachment--can opener, grinder, slicer or juicer for about $25 each.
