Need photos

I need cute Newfie photos for my son's preschool project. Each kid brings in pics of current pets (or ones they hope to have)to display on a "petboard." We've got the pics of cats and Gecko, but seeing as we have no Newf yet
, we need a loaner Newf pic.
Of course if any wants to send me their real Newf to borrow that would be O.K.
;D You can send them to my e-mail(the pics, not the Newf).

thx, B.

P.S. I didn't just want to steal pics without permission.

I was doing good thinking about a few pictures, then I read your last line.

Seriously I doubt if anyone who has posted their pictures out on the web would care (or even know) if you used them for a preschool project. As long as you aren't trying to make money off of it (although the capitalist in me is cheering madly at the thought of a four year old working on his first million
) I couldn't imagine any problems (and again, the chances of anyone finding out are about the same as the Patriots winning the Super Bowl ... (what? You're kidding) .... er ... um .... the Bengals winning the Super Bowl ....
).

Feel free to use any images of mine that you can find here (although you may not want to use the nekkid guy on a trampoline one
(although it would make for an interesting presentation)).

I would feel better if you had your child explain, "Well we don't have our Newfy yet but I brought this picture to show you what one looks like and how big they get" or something to that effect. You never know. Your son may be faced with a child who DOES have a Newfy and asked all kinds of questions to which your son would have no answer.

Just a suggestion. It's always best to cover your behind.

Although---the imaginative Q+A of toddlers would supercede any sort of "perceived problem". It's not like anyone will be asking for breed standards or pedigrees. Not to mention, due to their natural short attention spans,I would not worry about any long term focus on whether or not your toddler has a Newfy, only what a great big lovable furball of a doggie that is!

Oh for certain! My son's Newf picture is going on the board as a "want," not as an already have pet. He's met about ten Newfs so far, so he knows enough about them to entertain other four year olds..."They're really big and they like to give slobbery kisses."

We'll save the nekkid trampoline guy for art history in college.

Thank you guys for all the pics...now I have to pick just one or two. It's gonna be hard with all the cute ones out there. I'll let my son decide.

It's gonna be hard to pick the nicest picture - I sure am interested in which one your son will choose. Will you tell us?

Then by all means, you're welcome to grab any you find at my site as well if you'd like!
I apologize if I misunderstood your intentions. Unfortunately, there are some people out in the world who have ruined it for the trustworthy people.

Let us know how the class went!

Oh, I'm so excited! Went to my son's preschool today to drop him off (this week is the pet visiting week). One of the other Moms had signed up to bring her pet in at the end of school...under pet type it said NEWFOUNDLAND! So of course I got permission from the preschool teacher to come visit when the Newf would be there. There I was, sitting in circle time with all the other preschoolers and the big Newf! She behaved so well, all the kids were very impressed.
This is where I show off: the teacher asked the little girl what kind of dog she had, and she stared at her Mom...my son raised his hand and said it's a "Newfoundland and they love water, sometimes they can even help people who are in water or if they are very sad the Newfounldand can make them happier." That' my boy!
We also decided not to submit a "want" pic of a Newf, since that might detract from the attention the little girl got about her Newf and her picture with her dog. At one point her Newf was getting rambunctious, and the Mom couldn't get the dog to sit. This four year old just looked into her dogs eyes and said sit, and down the Newf went. The Mom said later that their dog considers herself to be the little girls dog primarily, and does anything she asks. It was great.
So all in all I had a good day.

LOL! My three year old male Landseer sits quicker for my four year old neice than for me. :erm: Maybe I shouldn't laugh about that
