Val will have to give you her recipee as she did not find everything on this list but here is the list she gave me that she found....
Citronella Oil
Lemon Eucalyptus Oil
Cinnamon Oil
Castor Oil
Rosemary Oil
Lemongrass Oil
Cedar Oil
Peppermint Oil
Clove Oil
Geranium Oil
Possibly Oils from Verbena, Pennyroyal, Lavender, Pine, Cajeput, Basil, Thyme, Allspice, Soybean, and Garlic
Another plant-derived substance, pyrethrum, is an insecticide. Pyrethrum comes from the flowers of the daisy Chrysanthemum cinerariifolium.

Val forwarded this to us ;)
I didn't write down exactly how much I put into it, but basically:

about 1/4 to 1/2 cup castor oil
60 drops citronella oil
10-20 drops each of:
lemongrass oil
cinnamon oil
geranium oil
eucalyptus oil
peppermint oil
rosemary oil
then I thinned it out with rubbing alcohol.

Shake it up well and either spray or rub it on. It does work very well, the mosquitos still buzzed around didn't bite.

Since the oils are diluted, I am not too concerned about using this with the dogs. But anyways, here is a link to oils that may be toxic to dogs, especially pregnant ones: http://nebraska-airedales.com/topics.htm
