Yes, once again, Khiori has something new. She's got megaesophagus now
Anyway, does anyone know of this condition? Know of anyone else? I need a bit of help. Khiori's not able to keep much down (although for the first time in a week, she held her food down from dinner last night) Does anyone know what her chances of survival are? How about the effect on her life span?
At this point, I'm seeing her with a few months left, due to her seizure pattern and now with not being able to keep food in herself (at most maybe a year). If there's anything I can do to keep her quality of life up, I'd like to find out now - in the early stages.
And I know most all of us have been there... but at what point do we let our babies go? I almost equate this to cancer. She can go on for quite sometime - but if the outcome is not good... I don't want her to suffer needlessly and endlessly.
Thankfully, I believe that point is somewhere off in the future. I just need to settle in my own mind what's the most appropriate thing to do... so I don't panic later on.
Sorry for the bummer announcement.
