Kennel cough maybe ??

Avie may have got kennel cough. She is currently on predisone and simplicef for a skin infection. can I give her an old dose of kennel cough meds at the same time as predisone and simplicef ?

I can't read it on the bottle as it is faded. It is a little yellow pill if that helps.

No!! That doesn't help! I guess you can't read if it's outdated? If you are concerned I would check with the vet on Monday.

It may not be KC at all. When it is really hot out and the dogs go from air conditioning to heat to A/C they can get bronchitis. The cough will sound like KC.

Also prednisilone (cortisones) can sometimes have some effect..I would suggest a vet check. Never use old meds......Especially if unidentifyable

The cough / hacking has slowed down. I will be calling vet tomorrow just to see what she says. I have googled side effects of predisone and never saw cough / hacking come up.
The wife and r thinking she may of picked it up at the vets office on Thursday while there for her skin infection.

Usually KC takes 7-10 days to develope once the dog is exposed.
