Jake's biting

Jake is forever biting HARD mainly me but I have noticed he is starting to mouth the boys a bit too which is not good at all because it scares them. I have been yelling at him, sticking my fist down his throat, giving him something else to chew on the works but he still continues. I was reading in some past posts that spraying lemon juice stopped the barking, is it worth a try to see if it will stop the biting? I can just hook a spray bottle to me so I have it at all times LOL. Puppy training starts this coming week, of course the first class we are not to take the dogs. It is a 8 week course so hopefully that will help too. Just getting tired of constantly being bitten.
Thanks

Diane, I tried rubbing my hands and arms with Bitter Apple lotion and lemon juice for the biting when Kodi was little, but neither worked. "Mister Lemon" only worked for the excessive barking. The only thing that stopped Kodi from the biting, was the hand down the throat with the words "no bite" routine. Finally he came to terms knowing I was the alpha and not him. I can understand your frustration with the biting because I was at wit's ends with "shark tooth". Don't give up!

I would love to here more on this topic. Sophie will be 13 mths shortly and the biting hasn't gotten a whole lot better. She's okay with me, hubby, and our 6 yr old son most of the time. Her biting is mainly directed at our 3 yr old son. I'm not sure if it is because he is "eye level" with her and she views him as a play toy. When they are outside playing she follows the boys everywhere, but as soon as he takes off running, she is chasing him down and biting him. It's not an aggressive bite, it's a play bite, but a bite none the less. We've tried the fist down the throat, yelling no bite, and holding her mouth firmly shut while yelling no bite. It usually works for everyone except him. Anyone have suggestions?
