It's a BOY!!!!

Hello All,
Just wanted to share my joy. We picked up our new member of the family this afternoon

He is beautiful. He rode home in the car at my feet and slept the entire way. No accidents from either end.
He played in the yard with the kids, ate some kibble with yogurt for dinner, looked at me like I had three heads when I asked him if he wouldn't mind doing his business on the grass instead of the patio, and is now sleeping in his crate next to me. It doesn't get much better than this.
We named him Satchel, partly because we are huge baseball fans and partly because in some obscure book in some far off Heaven it means Angel of Water.
I'm sure this honeymoon phase will be short lived and I will be asking what to do when he eats the couch soon enough

Oh, I am jealous!
I want a little boy Newfie too. We have been lightheartedly discussing getting a second...a boy, to complete the set. I don't think we want to actually take the step and do it though, I think our backyard and interior would DIE and we rent the house. We also live next door to our landlord. They can cope with one Newfie but I think two would give them a heart attack.

I also like the name Satchel. Angel of water is soooo appropriate!

Congratulation on your new puppy. I want a puppy so bad, but I keep getting rescues that are in need of a home. Someday I will get a puppy............
