if your a duck....

Here you go giddy, these were all taken today around our area. I did manage to get some video but can't seem to upload them to my server in the right format.
We had minor damage, lost a few trees (which I think our neighbor is happy about, it was blocking his satellite dish), We also lost some shingles on our roof & part of our backyard fence. Our street had some minor flooding. My favorite report was when there was a jet skier on Bayshore Blvd. heading towards downtown, and he was driving in the wrong lane!

I hope everyone else is safe and sound.

Talk about up close and personal..to view your pics. Will Whiskey Joes remodel..or call it quits? Must have been a neat place to enjoy at sunset.

Melissa, I am glad you all are OK.

Got a question. It has been awhile since I lived in St.Pete. But was Whiskey Joes, close or next door to CrawDaddy's? We used to go there a lot to eat.

I haven't seen water like that since I was a kid in Pinellas Park back in the 70's. We had boats going up the street and the neighbors were out yelling it was a no wake zone!

What part ot Tampa do you live in?

WOW! Whiskey Joe has an incredible hangover! :( Glad to hear you made it through with minimal damage....I'm sure it will take a long time for all the cleanup to happen, but at least you're all SAFE!

Melissa - Glad to hear from you !!! Nancy must not have any power in Flagler County. I don't know about you, but this is getting totally depressing. We have not been out of our house since Thursday afternoon !!! I'm going to venture out today, but there is tremendous power outages in our neck of the woods and they are talking not back on until Saturday !! That means no traffic lights, no gas pumps and just plain chaos !! We have no phones! Our kids are out of school again, which is really playing with Casey's head ! They were in for four days, out for eight, back in for another week and now back out again !! Can you tell I am feeling a little wah-wah today ?! Everything is wet and soggy and I am feeling wet and soggy. The back yard is like a swamp, the mosquitos will be taking up residence soon! EVERYONE LISTEN UP - take a deep breath and blow towards the Carribean. IVAN MUST GO AWAY - We can't take another one !!

Hmm..sounds like the fun..is wearing thin?
Ok..time to play some versions of.."What can we do..with what we have/see'..can reach". Students..of any age..are wonderously good..at off the wall things like that..and frustration and boredom..can vanish..when they perceive a new direction. Maybe playing with..the elements of what has/is/may happen again.. around your area..and thinking of ways to use mosq., swampy land..etc., in a diff. way. Hope ya have some dry paper and a pencil or three. Hang on..our thoughts are with you, ina n HB
