Intermittent Limping

Lewis developed an intermittent limp in his right front leg that only presents after he's been still for a while. Once he's up and moving the limp isn't visible. My son first noticed a couple of days ago when Lewis came in from our backyard. No one was rough housing with him or otherwise noticed any trauma. I'll take him to the vet on Monday. He's three and his weight's ok. Any thoughts?

Have you checked his toenails, to see if he's cracked one? Maggie had a limp in the front once, and it seemed to come and go. Turned out she had a cracked nail, and I guess it just bothered her when she stepped wrong and split it again. Took a while to heal.

My first thought is Lyme disease.

Elbows or shoulders are what I'd be having checked out.
