"Interactions" article

If there are any other Delta Society members out here:
I noticed that there's a good article in the most recent "Interactions" issue (Delta Society magazine) about a program for autistic children where a Newf is currently being brought in for AAT. It's a "feel good" article that's worth a look!

That sounds great! We don't have our Newf yet, and aren't quite ready, but when we are I am seriously contemplating training her or him to be a therapy dog. My son has autism, and now we believe that daughter does, as well. I would love to have a therapy dog and share him or her with others.

I think you'd really like this article, and probably the rest of the magazine. Sometimes an animal can reach people in ways that nothing else can.

I'd be happy to mail the magazine to you if you'd like. (I'm fairly sure you need to be a Delta Society member to receive it otherwise.)
Let me know!

No, this is actual AAT (Animal Assisted Therapy) where the dog is an integrated part of a curriculum. I just visit the nursing home with Carm!
