Around here..no proper lessons on museum-type preservation..but..I have soaked, stainless steel padded, sm. pareing knife 'chipped'..and then dried the items..that have 'sat too long at the owlery' in the barn. After that rubbed over with cooking oil..and put into my oven at around 350 for 30 min. to an hour. Open windows..close off kitchen..or every alarm in the house will scream..thereby distracting the family. The resulting smoke film will also mean window washing..later in the day. Others feel free to offer life experiences..as there may be easier ways..this is just mine, from around here. Happy 'Tidying'..to the family..and hugs..lotsa lotsa hugs! ina n HB
