I can't remember the name of the book!

Hi,

A little while ago, a few of you good people told me of a book about Newfies, that you considered your "bible" for the Newfoundland. It was written by a woman, and you could only order her book from her website.

Does anyone know what book I'm talking about? I tried to see if I could pull up an old thread, but I wasn't successful. Could just be me, though!

Thanks!

"The Newfoundland Puppy: Early Care, Early Training"
by Judi Adler

Found here:

Newf Puppy Book

Scroll down on the left menu on the main page of her site, and you'll see it. She also has a great water training and tracking book.

Another book I enjoyed was "In the Company of Newfies" by Rhoda Lerman. I got it at the library and it is a breeder's account of her life with her 10 or so Newfies. More just an enjoyable read than informational but still good.

She was at the National signing copies of her latest edition of that book. Really nice lady.

I'm glad to hear she's well and about! In the book she mentioned having cancer. I love her website too and looking at her dogs. She really has beautiful Landseers.

Another really good book on Newfoundlands is the one by Emmy Bruno, simply entitled "Newfoundland." A very in depth read about the breed. You can order it at Amazon.com

"In The Company Of Newfies," is more of a story; I have a copy as well. I don't know about everyone here, but I like to see a lot of photos in a Newfoundland book. No doubt, Rhoda has nice dogs.
