How did YOU find Newf-Net????

I just wanted to know how people stumble upon this great forum?? Did you see it advertised, was it word of mouth, did you find it in a search???

Personally, I have to thank NutzyCat, who emailed me and introduced it as a great place. I have to agree.....thanks Nutz!!

If I remember correctly...I just stumbled across it. And I am sooooooooo Glad I did, I love this place. :D

I am member #34. I joined July 2000. Annie told me about NN and she is member #7. I think she found out about it from posts on Newf-L. GAD, who is member #2 registed Jan 14, 2000. So I believe that is when it started

if you look at my member number, you will see i am one of the oldies to, the link came across newf L and i dropped in, it was new and just up and going so i did take many breaks from it.

Me, I just followed the landseer droppings and found SAR !!

Celyne really wants a landseer for our next newf !

i am sure your time will come.
i will never forget putting my hands on a beautiful landseer for the first time, one owned by friends of mine, got him and the female from canada, of all places. anyway, i had always wanted a landseer, and than to have the honor of showing the male i was so happy, i finally got a son out of him, emmett but he is not quite a landseer, so i put my name out to *****, who also does SAR and wanted a good working girl.
and morgan was born, we put the two landseer girls on the table, and she said, i know wich one you will pick, she pointed out the markings being better on the one girl, but i told her, that i liked the structure of the other girl with the black sleeve, markings aren ot the whole dog.
she was very pleased, and i took morgan home, my dad went with me, and it was a 13 1/2 hour drive one way.
LOL
my dream finally came true.
it just takes time.

I stumbled across this site while searching on-line information about Newfies. I'm sure glad I did. Not only did I find a wealth of information about newfies but also developed some nice friendships.

I've never participated on message boards before but have heard some horror stories regarding them. I was a lurker here for about two months and was really surprised how "nice" everyone was.
I decided to take the plunge and introduce myself. And haven't regretted that decision.

This has been a very pleasant first time experience. Everyone here has been supportive, respectful and very willing to share their knowledge. I'm very glad there is a site like this available for us.

Also want to encourage any lurkers to please join us. The more, the merrier! :D :D

I'll never forget the day GAD posted on Newf L about starting this forum. There was so much arguing and general unpleasantness on Newf L at the time, so it was a very happy occasion when GAD created this wonderful place!

I was reading the book "99 Newfies", and saw something about Newf-L...and somehow found this place while looking for them. Glad I did!

I am member 157. In my years of waiting on Newman, I did alot of research. One day while I was surfing for Newf stuff, I stumbled across this place. I found my very good friend Amy and have learned so much about my chosen breed.

"99 Newfies" is a collection of stories that were written by people subscribed to Newf L. Cora & I have a story in there... It's called "The Highway Nightmare".

I've been doing so much research over the past few months and in so many different media I can't remember how I got here


Although I think it must have been from a link from a Newf site...

I'm a lurker by nature as well but this site with all the great people is making me feel much more comfortable about sharing my 1.5 cents' worth!

The bridge topic reminded me how I managed to stumble in the door. At the time it was a needed substitute for the self propelled carpet that was missing from under my feet.

Thankfully that void only lasted a couple of months (& brought Annie into our lives in a fairly deranged story :D ).

Add to that many laughs & tears over the past couple of years (including a couple of really wierd instances where universes collide in other places) & you have me not only finding the dog house but enjoying most every day of hanging out here.
