I have to say, we REALLy had a ton of fun this past week! Saw some amazing, talented dogs in obedience, agility, dock diving...... They had all sorts of games with dogs performing tricks, etc. It was just all very cool!

Journey had a lot of fun too.....she does seem to really enjoy the show ring. She was surrounded by LOTS of very nice boys.....and she got a LOT of attention from them too! Ha!

Here's a slideshow:

Journey is so gorgeous! Been oooogling your pix of her since March 2009, just about fell off my chair 1st time I saw her floooofy chubby puppy picture with the red ball. And here she's won Euk!

Time flies by so fast. She's all grown up and on top of the world.

Say could you type what you like about the Peanut? I had just been looking at that online and wondering if it would be good for warm ups. This dog gear thing is getting insane but now I really wonder if you're onto something good and important. (please forgive my ignorance)

great slideshow! and she is just beautiful! But can you humor the "dog show illiterate" (which would be myself) and tell me what the "peanut" is?? :)

You can use the peanut for a lot of different things. The reason I wanted it is to work on core strengthening (back and abdominal muscles) along with the large muscles of the shoulders and legs. It is conditioning and strengthening..... You can have them put just their front paws up on the peanut to work more just the hips/thighs.....or roll them over it so that their front paws are on the ground and the rear is off the ground over the ball.....working more the front legs. If you put them up on the ball, you can have them shift their weight to get treats.....the dog will naturally try to stabilize on the ball because they don't want to fall off. I can REALLY feel Journey working her muscles to maintain her balance. I'm sure it will get easier for her as she does it more. You start with just 3 min/day. Use a vest to hold them safely. I think it is safer with two people with a large dog, but they said you can put it between a couch and coffee table to help stabilize it. Actually, Journey LOVES this stuff. She was so happy doing it.....and I have worked her with it again today.....and had to hide it in another room because she will try to do stuff on her own.....of course thinking it will earn her a cookie! Ha!

I'd guess it is used mostly for rehab purposes....such as after cruciate surgery. They've got some really nice equipment though. I'd loved to have bought more......

Hope that helps.

Thanks! Reading that Journey has taken to the Peanut means a lot. Such a smart beautiful girl getting buff. Let us know when she starts looking in the mirror and strutting in front of the boys ;)
