HI and welcome to the board

There is a wonderful book you can purchase to help with water work. It is without a doubt the best informative book for water work there is. It is called. Water Work Water Play by Julie Adler. You can purchase it at dogworks.com.

Yea, we have messed around at a few training classes. All the girls are TDI, Delta certified for pet therapy. Samantha has her CGC AKC-CD UKC-CD and her ASCA-CD. Sara and Panda have their CGC and Draft dog titles, but Samantha has tried twice for her Draft dog title and flunked. Third time is a charm??? We are training Samantha for water rescue. We did one test last year, but had no time to train her this year because we moved. Now that we have our very own pond :D We can train and train and train.

Hello LouieNewf--Where are you from in Central PA? That's where Yogi (brown- 6 months) and I reside also. You can email me or private message if you desire.

Maybe I should add that all my girls are rescues. We got Sara and Panda when they were both 7. Sara is now 11 1/2 and Panda is 8. Samantha, we got on her first birthday, so she is young enough to do lots of things. Samantha has 2 legs toward her Standard Agility title.

Whoa ! You have quite the family. It is wonder ful that they are rescues. My hubby grew up with newfies. This is my first experience with them. Of course as a kid he really had nothing to do with their training just the playing
We are going add to our family and get Louie a brother, hopfully, in late spring of 2003. I would really like to get involved with the Newf. training and clubs and that sort of thing because the more you know about them the better you can take care of them. What state do you live in ? Thanks Judy
