Do u mean a Halti Headcollar ? http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=3307+4+875&pcatid=875

Or this ? http://newtrix.ca/docs/shop/trix_store_details_us.php?prod_id=2

I personaly don't like these collars. Neck injurey is a consern. I belive in training your dog to heal. I was with a group from my Newf club last week on a walk around a lake.. two ppl had head collars and even with those collars the dogs still managed to pull them into the water, screaming and yelling.. if your dog does not heal with a regular collar he won't heal with any of the head collars. But as always JMHO

I'm probably the only one that has NewTrix collars in their training box. NewTrix fits like a premier collar on the neck so the leash is hooked like on a regular premier collar. So, there's not a chance of the injury like could happen with a Halti or Gentle Leader. There's another collar that's like the NewTrix but can't remember the brand name right now.

Thanks Janice for the name of the other one as well. I have heard that the twix is not like the Halti, that is designed after a horses halter, even the way it is put on, I have since went to there web site and watched the video of how it is placed. They look interesting to use for certain occasions, but not for all the time. I will compare and see which I will try.

Thanks Janice I went on both sites now.. I think I will get the twix mainly because the nose band is padded for extra comfort, so less likely to dig in. I will let you guys know how it works out for the certain occasions that I am in need for it.

Have any of you used Ceasar Milan's collar? It sure looks like it works very well. It isn't harmful to the neck. I also have heard the halties and gentle leaders aren't great. I too heard they can cause neck damage.

No, I haven't tried Cesar Millan's Illusion collar. I've heard complaints from those who hate the collar and others who like the collar.
