Happy Story

I just had to share this with all of you. My Ben has a wonderful groomer whom he sees every 6 weeks. She spoils him rotten. Anyways before Ben had his hip surgery it was getting very difficult to get him into the tub, onto the grooming table etc...especially the last week before his surgery. Anyways when we went to the groomer for the first time after his surgery, they were so excited to show me what they had built for Ben. OMG they had made a table that was covered in a rubber for great traction and it was on wheels...then it had a hydraulic system that allowed them to put it right down to ground level, once Ben was in place and secure they would pump up the hydraulics so that he could be wheeled over to the tub etc. I thought this was so fantastic. Ben loves going there, oh and they phoned us quite a few times after his surgery you know to just check in to see how "their" boy was doing. Needless to say they are all so thrilled with how he now runs from the truck to the door when we go there, he literally bounces across their driveway.
Anyways I just had to share, thanks for listening.

That's great Jen!!
I am planning to make a career change from machinist to dog grooming and had wanted my husband (an engineer) to design and construct something like that. My job is a very physical one and has caused me some back problems. If/when I make this change I figured if he crafted something like that it would save my back and be a plus for the dogs. Around here most of the groomers won't touch a Newf or other big dogs simply because they can't (or won't try) to get the big dogs up into the tub/table! Sounds like they really love Ben!
