Hair in the pads of the paws

I'm having a lot of trouble keeping Emily from sliding on our hard wood floors. I keep the hair on the pads trimmed as short as I can. I have a cheap pair of Andis clippers that have a #10 blade on them, but I'm just not very good at getting those pads cleaned up. I used to bath dogs at a grooming shop, and I feel that I could bath her and dry her just as good as any grooming shop, but I'm not so good with the clippers and scissors.
I'm trying to find a good groomer that would let me bring her in there every 5 weeks or so to do the pads of her feet, her belly, ears, and trim up her private areas. However, I'm finding that all the groomers insist on bathing her too. They seem to want all or nothing. I understand that they don't make much money off of a basic without the bath, but I do know that they could do this in 15 min. And I would be willing to pay them $20
I am a full time student right now and can't really afford the 60 to 70 dollars to get her groomed every six weeks. Not to mention we already invested in a force dryer, which would be a waste for me not to use.
Any advice? Sorry so long

Thanks,
Melissa & Emily

Do you have a Petsmart near you? We don't have our boy groomed there but they allow walk-ins to do the "small stuff". I went last weekend (after loosing our nail clippers) and had his nails trimmed and the hair in between the pads cleaned up and paid $6.

Thats good to know Shifty, I have Jake in petsmart about once a week and I forgot to have his nails clipped when I had him at the vet Monday and they really need it.

Thanks
Diane
