I just came home and I let Gunny out, he peeded and then came in a took a big drink. In fact he drank the whole bowl of water. A few minutes later he vomited. He ate at 3pm and threw up at 8pm. His vomit was just mush, looked like it was digested.
Do you think it was because he drank all the water. He is laying down now.He is not panting or drooling. I am really worried.
thanks

Every so often one of ours drinks too much water and then they puke. Pooka especially. It happened to me once at Horse Camp when I was a little kid, for that matter! I don't think you need to be too concerned, but just keep an eye on him.

If I don't catch Pooka quickly enough after he does it, then he re-eats whatever he threw up, and he's always fine afterwards, whether he re-eats it or I get to it first and clean it up.

Snuffles once in a blue moon throws up after drinking a lot while on our walks It happen like in the past week or so at the dog park. It happened back in the summer walking also. That one cost me. I did give the two Park District workers we are friendly with a pack of cigarettes each since he did it in the pavilion where the water fountain is and they keep clean for events. When I found them looking for cleaning stuff they said they would clean it up for me. :)

No other problems after the fact.

Thanks for getting back to me. Gunny is sleeping. I will just keep an eye on him tonight.
Do you think I should feed him less tomorrow.

Just read your post and hope Gunny is already feeling better. We just had an epidsode with Reno. He vomited several times and was very lethargic. I was very worried as this was unlike him. This lasted 24 hrs. so not sure what was up. We did give pepcid (1 dose) which really helped and was all that he needed.

Gunny ate this morning. I fed his just a little and only gave him a small bowl of water.
So far he is keeping it down. I am still keeping my eye on him. Last summer we had an episode where he ate dirt and rocks and almost had a blockage. When he vomited during that time his food was not disgested and it had been 10 hrs. since he ate. So I knew there was a problem. After that problem I am a little paranoid when he vomits.
