I will be conducting a hands on grooming workshop Friday evening. To take part you will need the following.
1. A clean dry combed out newf. (I will have 2 that someone can borrow if you cannot bring your newf)
2. Grooming Table--if you have one. It will make it easier on you. I do have ONE extra table.
3. The following grooming supplies. I have listed the product number as well as the price from pet edge
Greyhound style comb. Medium/course style TP906 $9.99
Pin Brush PS25359 $6.78
Slicker brush (I prefer the mini as it is used on the paws) OF13 $4.29
Thinning Shears 44/20 is a well balanced thinning shear. ZT44200 $99.99 If you want to order a less expensive shear that is ok but be sure to get one with 36 - 46 teeth. Remember you want to get a well balanced comfortable thinning shear as you will be using this shear more than any other tool.
Curved shear 4 1/2" TS5303231 or 4" MF147--this shear is used to trim the pads or any tight place
Straight Shear (Heritage) HC75214 $45.89
Optional: Curved Shear (Heritage) HC75216 $46.49
On the straight or curved shear you can get any price range or brand you want just be sure they are 7 1/2" or 8 1/2" shears. (I prefer the 8 1/2" shear) The better shear you buy the longer they will hold the cutting edge and you will not have to get them sharpened as often. But you don't need to spend hundreds of dollars on the straight or curved shear. (I would spend big buck on the thinning shears)
Let me know if you have any questions. If you already have grooming tools that you are comfortable with you may use those. I am just putting this on as a guide so you will know what is needed.
