Good Girl Tayla

Last night we took Tayla for a walk. As always we let her off the lead at the end of our drive so that she can have a bit off a sniff as she runs out the backyard. Last night she stopped at some conifers that line one side of our drive. The next second she started to growl, a cat made a noise and run out from the trees and straight accross the road. Tayla started to bolt after it. Nige and I screamed at her to stop and she did. I couldn't believe it. Normally when she sees a cat she becomes oblivious to all around her. My heart was in my mouth because we live on quite a busy road even at night. I was so proud of her. She listened to us. She is really becoming very obedient. Good Girl Sweetheart

Good girl!!! What a temptation that must have been. I'm sure your heart went into your throat.
It amazes me on how Emily can hear a cheese ball drop on the floor from another room in our house but when we are outside she can conveniently become deaf ten feet away :D

Murphy can hear me opening a Hershey Kiss from the computer room and he is in the living room
but outside he doesn't hear me call him  I call this """Selective Hearing""" they only hear what they want to hear :D

Good girl, Tayla!

Zatara had a similar incident a couple of days ago. I was transferring his leash from one hand to the other just as we were getting started away from my house for a walk; just before I got a good grip on the leash with my other hand, he bolted after something. We live on a very busy street -- we are so lucky he didn't get hit by a car!
