This is Oreo/mouse & Gigi/African-Spurred-Tortoise
I started giving Oreo rides on Gigi's back and the kids just go wild over it. I have never knew that reptiles have personalties but I have just fallen in love with Gigi. I want to just take her and give her a great home where she can live out the rest of her life.
Only problem is from what I read about these tortoise's, they are the third largest in the world. At seven years old she already weighs about 55lbs and it looks like she can live another 93 years!
She was somebody's pet and they found her to be too destructive to their yard so they gave her to us at the farm. They can dig burrows 15 to 20ft under ground.
Why are there so many idiots out there who think they can take these guys on as pets? I would like to find her a better home than we can give her. But at least for now she is safe with us.
