Good Dog, Bad Dog

I just finished reading "Good Dog, Bad Dog" by Mordecai Siegal and Matthew Margolis. It isn't a Newf book, it's just a very good conventional dog training book.
However, in the back is a discussion of various dog breeds, their positive and negative characteristics, and how you should modify your training to deal with the particular breed. Not every breed is represented, only those that Margolis has experience training, but that's about 60 breeds.
There is an obvious and evident personal bias in his descriptions. Margolis gives the positive about all breeds, but for some, the praise just bubbles over, and it has nothing to do with size or type of dog. His most effusive praise goes to: the Toy Poodle, the Shih-tzu, the Bulldog, the Siberian Husky (though of course with an entire page of amusing negative characteristics :D ), and, of course!...to our beloved Newfies, whom he describes as "among the finest-tempered, most responsive dogs alive." I swelled with pride when I read his description. Here's to bias (or rather, discerning taste!)
