Hi all!
I just wanted to share with you my family's happy anticipation of getting our new puppy this weekend! Due to an almost providential series of events, we ran into a newfie breeder at the big dog show at the Cow Palace in San Francisco...turns out she was friend and co-breeder with the person who sold us our first newfie back in '88. 'Turns out that they had 4 month old puppies that they were holding on to with the idea of showing them. But they found they were just too busy with other newfies, and other personal business to show these beautiful dogs...so they were now available! We're going to get a wonderful girl...a real beauty and sweetie from what we've heard...and she's related to our first newfie, whom we had to put down this past October, due to lymphosarcoma.
Our old girl, Mocha, a brown, was 13 years old.
So things have come full circle, it seems...and now we can start loving one of our old friend's "nieces"...we can't wait.
