Gentle Giants

Does anyone have this book? (I think Gentle Giants is the correct name by Bruce Weber.) It's a "coffee table" book full of pictures and goes for high $. I would love to have one of these, but it's not in the budget right now.
If anyone has it...do tell! I'd love to hear all about it.

For our anniversary my DH bought me this book when it first came out. I've read it a few times and looked at all the pics. It's a very nice book. Worth the high prices? Not in my opinion but I had never heard of Bruce Weber before his involvement with Newfs. Do his other works command such high prices? My husband also bought a copy of the book for our daughter. Hers is still in the original shrinkwrapping. Her boyfriend wanted to look at the book and she wouldn't let him open hers. Instead, he had to wait until they visited here (they were living in Washington state at the time- we're in CT) to look at the book. Daughter also has the t-shirt that was sold at the National in Missouri which has the Bruce Weber "Tour" schedule on it. Wonder if there's a market for the t-shirt? Maybe she should stop wearing the t-shirt and put it away before it's all worn out.

Strange???? Why Greg, why would you ever say that.... seeing as how you were the instigator!!! I would not refer to it as insanity… rather; I'd refer to it as hilarity!

I'd love to get the book, but it's a bit too pricey for me. I'm sure it is well worth it, though and would love to see a copy of it.

I am sitting here laughing so hard over all the old posts about this book!
(everyone HAS to read the links that Greg posted a few messages back!)
Can anyone give me the directions to Greg's house? I am packing up my gloves and hand sanitizer and will be barging in anytime demanding to see his book. Be on the lookout for a crazed lunatic.

FDB,

Fine, but on your way south swing by a certain NW city and drag someone down with you. Anyway, once you pick him up head south on I75 and get off at the 12th-14th exit after you cross the river (I'm not sure but I'm going out shopping in the next day or two and will count them). Hang a left off the exit and go about 5 miles to our driveway, turn left and come on up the hill.

We spent part of the summer out in Wa state. Our directions from where we were staying to our house were in TOTAL "Take the first two lefts out of here, hang a right on I75, take a left off of the appropriate exit off of I75, and hang a left into our driveway. We could have gone 2400 miles with a grand total of FIVE turns (two within the first 2 miles) if we didn't want to go on some of the side trips that we did. Of course the distance between some of those turns were measured in the multiple thousands of miles but.....

i've enjoyed the book "gentle giants" and have given away two copies of it....one for a photo contest and one in an auction for a newf club....i do think it's a bit over priced but if you keep track you can usually get it for a good price on ebay (my copies were all from ebay and i purchased them for under $250 each).

what i'm wondering though is this:
has anyone seen the gentle giants film by weber ?? he made a 15 minute film called gentle giants and i'd really like to locate it on video....

here's some info on it-
website w/ info on the short film by weber

if anyone has seen or knows where to locate this film could you pass along the info?

thanks in advance!!!

May want to give this link a try for the Weber films. It mentions at the bottom of the page to call or email them if you want to rent it.
