I told the furniture guys that it didn't really matter what the furniture looked like as long as you could wipe drool off of it, but I don't think he understood...

My husband won't let our boys on the couch...so Jake took him to task and keeps his front feet on the floor while the rest of him sits on the couch...love my boy!!

Dave commented just this morning "aren't you glad we have a leather couch?"....as I wiped it off after sharing my oatmeal with 2 Newfs....LOL

My next sofa will definitely be leather too! Only way to go at this point with the canine posse sharing the sofa with us.

Great looking couch and the occupents. I always figured not leather as I would guess that their nails would poke holes or rip the leather. Does the leather wear well?

I've had straight leather before and that held up well. I would scratch it with my fingernail in the store to make sure it didn't show  This one is actually a Durablend-a leather blend. Seeing as how I just watched Malcolm launch himself on and off of it watching the squirrels, it seems virtually indestructible.

Obie has made a believer out of me with the leather as well. Our couches were already four years old when he arrived. They're showing a little wear, but NOTHING like the beating any kind of upholstery would have taken. The beauty of leather in my book, is that even as it ages, the nicks and scratches and little cracks just give it character. :p
