Fund Raising ideas needed...

Ok, Jim's grandaughter, Jessica, has been invited to a thing this summer at the Harvard Medical...something or other.

The cost for her to go for the 10 days is $2700.00.

I suggested that she write a letter to some of the pharmaceutical companies asking them for sponsership. (Her mom is a nurse practitioner and has contacts with several of these companies).

Any other ideas for me to give to her, to raise money for this amazing opportunity?

If her mom has contacts with these companies, it may not be ethical for her to ask for sponsorship from them. Have to be very careful in that area.

How about car washes, bake sales, yard sales, etc? What is the something or other that she's doing, and how can that be tied to some way she can "market" this opportunity, to appeal to local clubs (ruritan, lions, etc) who may sponsor her?
