Frogs...really

These two live around (& in) our pool, and make the strangest noise when startled.

Cool! We get frogs that come out of the ponds at night. Uwe loves finding them when we're out walking.

We get then out by our pool all the time too.

We've got, literally, thousands of them here...huge, small, inbetween. Toads too.

Did you know if you pick them up they pee on you?

Amos picked one up in his mouth..gently...and it must have peed cause he spit it right out!

Guess we're lucky to have only 2. I don't think that I could catch one of them, they are sooo fast, but now that I know that one will pee on me, I won't be trying that. Thanks

Caesar brought one to the porch that looks just like those. It wasn't hurt, just hunkered down and not moving. Must've had quite a fright being caught by a cat...poor thing! (I thanked him for thinking of me, and quietly turned the froggie loose in the vegetation when the cats weren't looking.)
