FREE informal beginner RALLY open practice sessions with coaching from #1 2013 Rose City show handler!
Wednesday evenings at 6:30/p.
Park Place Elementary School (now Alliance Charter Academy) playground and
shelter across the street from my house. 16075 South Front Ave 97045.
Park in the La Rae Road parking lot on south side of school.
Beginning May 8 (but not on Wednesday June 5).
This is the chance of a lifetime to receive free expert coaching in Rally from a
fabulous #1 Rose City Show dog lover and Best of Breed Chinook jorer who ultra kindly will show us rally signs and courses.
It is difficult here to find a rally class so we are extremely lucky and
grateful to our friends in the Cascade Sled Dog Club and to the experienced
handler coming to coach us.
Have many large hurdle cones and all laminated signs, weatherproof equipment
with large high visuals to make it easy. Also laminated command and object signs for cuing training, put up on the multiple chain link fences around the shelter and grounds.
If you have a crate or XPen bring it so your dog can be contained safely near
you while you practice sign moves and get coached on footwork etc.
Those of you beyond the beginner stage are welcome to come set up signs and
practice run your own courses. The field and grounds are large with a big
shelter and many areas to practice.
My house and yard directly across the street will be open before and after for
bathrooms and refreshments. This will be fun and a fabulous way to train,
practice and bond with our dogs!
Plenty of free lighted parking at field.
