For any who may feed "Evo" kibble

I ran to get a few things at my local Pet store over the weekend, and there was a Rep for "Evo" giving out samples. She mentioned that Evo is now offering a new "fish" blend....a Herring & Salmon Formula. Its also a high protein / grain free food. I actually alternate between Orijen and Evo for my GSD's and Chinese Crested, and while Orijen has been so hard to get, I am glad there will at least be a fish alternate with the Evo.

I saw this as well.

The calcium is higher then 3fish... 2.21% vs ~1.6% ... not sure I would feed the EVO to a pup, otherwise it looks to be a good option for all of us out of luck with orijen

I agree....I would not feed Evo to a growing puppy - which is why my girl Luci doesn't get any of it - she is strictly on a Raw Diet - with an occasional scoop of Orijen 6Fish, mostly because she goes INSANE when I open the bag <g> Only my adult dogs get the Evo.

Oh! I'm sooo glad I saw this post. we were going to feed EVO from the beggining but ended up with the raw food diet, and he is doing well. tried giving him a bone yesterday and instead of eating it he buried in the yard! was very funny.

When Luci was a little puppy, I started feeding her outside - but she too would eat a bit and then bury the chicken wings 'for later'....so I moved the feeding back into the kitchen - and I put the baby gate up while she ate, so that she did not use my COUCH to bury what she did not want :uhoh2:

The evo is a great food - but I would wait until he gets older if you want to feed that to him.
