flood areas

Thanks. We are here in Harrisburg, but not directly in the city so we are fine. Schools and businesses are closed again today, and the flood water is unbelievable! There are tons of pictures on abc27news.com. Hershey was hit very hard and the places we love and visit are underwater. :( People in the city are listening to the evacuation warnings and are staying away from the river (as of now...there are always a few who do not listen). Five people have died so far and one bison at Hershey's Zoo America. :( Now they are saying that the river will crest at 26.5 feet which is 3 feet less than expected. Flood stage for the river is 17 feet. The Swatara Creek is in Derry Township which is Hershey and it crested at 24 feet. Its flood stage is 7 feet. Thankfully the rain has slowed down, but now we are just watching the river and waiting for it to crest sometime tonight.

We feel very blessed that our little town wasn't hit. Other parts of Vermont were not so fortunate:cry: The damage and devastation is absolutely heartbreaking. http://mansfieldheliflight.com/flood/

The devastation continues in NY, PA, MD and other areas. It's horrible. Those areas are getting record rainfalls.

My thoughts and prayers are with all those who have been affected by terrible weather

I was just watching the news. Wow. Devastating in so many areas. We have been through a flood when we lived in Iowa and the damage water can do is unbelievable. I pray everyone stays safe.
