Finding tripe is hard to do....

Hi folks,

I'm on the hunt for green tripe. I live in Sault Ste. Marie, so I need a supplier north/west of Sudbury. In Sudbury would be fine as well.

I am pretty sure I can't bring it in from the states, so Michigan is out.

Any ideas? Is such a thing ever frozen and shipped?

Try finding a raw food co-op. We belong to one here for Washington and Oregon USA. It is a list on yahoo. Ppl order what they want and get bulk prices. Members arrange deliveries and help transport.

There is also an org that makes raw food packaged in chubs available in freezers in pet stores.

Raw green smelly tripe is imho disgusting but have heard it is "crack for dogs" and my Newf loves it.

I feel for you. I feel very lucky, I have two sources and get about 90-120 lbs at a shot. Comes in 5 Lbs tubes. Try googling "Green frozen Tripe"

Oh if nothing else you could see if importing it into Canada from the US is legal.
