feeding new puppy

I need some advice. Jordan is my first newfie. The breeder said to use puppy food for large breeds. I am feeding her nutro for large breeds. Is this ok. She is 15 weeks and now weighs 40 lbs. I got her at 8 weeks and she weighed 22 lbs. At her 3 month chech up the vet said she was slightly under weight but that it was ok. Is her weight ok?
She eats about 6 cups/16 hrs and sleeps a good 8 hrs. She is so sweet. The best dog I have ever had

Hey PAtty,
never ever use big dog puppy food. its bad for them it causes them to grow to rapidly....use regular large dog food...make sure the fat is 11% or under and the protien is not more than 21%....this should help...also some raw vegtables and we feed luca chiken necks every night with dinner.......... he s 13 weeks nad 31 lbs..hope this helps...
