Hi there
I was just hoping that someone could offer me a bit of advice on feeding. I am a first time newfie owner and want to get things right. We've got great breeders, Gus is a shermead - but they just don't give me a solid answer, just if the dog seems to be doing well then he's doing alright sort of thing, so I guess I looking for somebody to say yeah that's what we're feeding ours.. Anyways Gus is going to be 6 months this saturday, we've just dropped the feed to 2 times a day now, each feed being 15oz a total of 30 oz a day, is this too much or does the little guy need more? From this age upwards how should the feeding be worked out, should we increase it, decrease it or keep it the same? He weighs 38 kg and looks good to us, we're always checking his ribs, ie can feel them but not see them, he gets a few doggy biscuits a days for training and maybe a carrot now around lunchtime. I know it's a hard subject to give a solid answer to, I just want someone with a male to say we fed ours this much at this age...etc, I guess just a bit of reassurance... Many thanks Lawrence
