Is there a way to fix the color of the dog's eyes? Is it the flash that does it?
Such a cute picture but I dont know how to either prevent it from happening or correct it when it does happen.
any ideas?

you can doctor it up in photoshop!
did you have the red eye setting turned on? if so, it is most likely the eye and the lighting.

Sheila I tried to use the red eye tool in photoshop but it wouldn't work. That is the first time I couldn't get it to work properly so I fudged it another way. I think it wouldn't work because the eyes were yellow instead of red?? How did you do it?

I actually painted them Jeannie. I first selected a very dark color, not entirely black, but close... and made my brush the size of the yellow area (using [ and ] to adjust the size of my brush). I used a feathered edge brush and just clicked over the yellow area to paint it. Then I changed my color to something very light (not straight white), more of an off white/tanish to put the glint in the eyes. Same effect, change the brush color to something small and click where the original glint was (you can usually see it on a glowing eye photo or get a good judgement by the direction of the light). I usually make 2 small dots close to each other for the glint. Its super easy. Now try it and post what you came up with.
I'm not very good with words so I hope I explained this well enough.

Ahhh...with a little bit of practice I think that technique could come in handy! Thanks Sheila!

Wow! That paint technique is great! I love how you added the glint of light, so they still have expression.
I am a photoshop novice and still trying to figure it all out!!
Thanks
