Ex Pen Suggestion

Hey all,

I'm wondering if anyone had size and product recommendations for an ex pen. We don't need one for outdoors, but we'd like to start allowing Arya a little more space inside the house in a controlled environment. We plan to block off some of the living room that's nearest her crate. It looks like the standard is 8 panels that are 2ft wide (doesn't seem that big), but the height is variable.

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance!

If you want a little more space than that, you can get some where you can put 2 sets together. Then you could vary it small/big if you ever have a need to give her less space. You'll want one that is easy to store once she doesn't need it as much. If you look online for one for kids, not dogs, you may find one that is cheaper than those sold for dogs.

Ex pens are heavy and difficult to deal with, but I have one (extra tall, has a door and 12 panels) and have used it. It's pretty spacious.

Baby gates might be something you want to consider instead. I have five and use them for all sorts of situations. Plus you can always find a home for them if you decide you don't want them anymore.

We make Zuzu a pen out of wooden, folding bookcases and baby gates. When she needs it, it's fairly permanent for 5-8 weeks.

I have extra tall, metal baby gates. My guys stay in the kitchen when they're wet, and when I leave. Three ways into the kitchen, all gated, and one in the hall to prevent them from free roaming the entire house.
They also have doors, so it's easy to go in and out for humans and dogs! My guys range from 3.5 mo. to 5 yrs.
