Drafting on Hills?

So we have some seriously steep hills in my area. They're no where near a gentle slope, it's like they want to be cliffs when they grow up.

I've been working a lot with Bri on her draft training, and we're starting to work up to her distance haul, only problem is that there are lots of our big hills on the routes that would be best to practice with. Bri is fine pulling her cart up the hills, but going down them would be really uncomfortable so I unhitch her and do it myself.

Is there any equipment to make it easier and safer for her? Or tactics we can use? (Tacking is near impossible since the roads are fairly busy.) Our cart is solid wood, pretty heavy by itself, would a lighter cart be better? I saw something about a breeching strap on Wilczek, would that help?

Below is a picture of our set-up. We now have the rear cinch for her harness.

Thanks in advance!

We made a cart out of an old garden centre trolley so its aluminium. I also attached a link at the back so l could hold it steadier going down hills
